Earth is Old

Try to compile Earth's long geologic time into 24 hours,
you will find human beings made their first appearance at 23:59:30 hour.

Earth IS old, we ARE new. Yet, we can destroy Earth in a split second and have the courage to even do so.

Before my camera got damaged :(

I just send my camera for repair just now. Tonight I feel a lil sentimental and start to dig in my external hard drive for good old pics. I bet u never seen some of the pics here.

First Day in London in 2006.

At our hotel room minutes before taking the cab to Med-Syd, our residence for that year. We stayed at Hilton Hotel, London. There is a sad sad story behind this. Aiyaa.. Terpaksa plak tu duduk Hilton. Habes CAD120++ dalam 24 hours smpai Canada.

Yea! The time we realised we just have each other for the rest of our Western years...

Med-Syd: my first year residence. Beautiful residence.

First day of snow. It's also my first time to see snow! That day, I don't know what to wear to class cause I thought it will be damn cold...BOOO!!

First day raya di perantauan... makan ice cream and veggie nugget saja donng...It was pretty sad.

Igneous Petrology Lab
See, my camera can even take pictures on thin section. FYI, thin section is a freaking thin slice of rock and we use it to analyze under the microscope. So the pictures taken are through the ocular (or eyepiece = tpt tgk lahh).

This is a thin section.

Colourful mineral under thin section! It's Clinopyroxene baby!

Perthite texture, I supposed? Feldspar under thin section

Plagioclase under thin section

Here's an outdoor lab for Watershed Hydrology
it's not from my camera

WESTERN NEWS OCTOBER 16, 2008.
HEHE, THE MAIN THING ABOUT THIS POST WAS TO SHOW THAT I WAS THE ONE DOING THE EXPERIMENT. I HAD TO WEAR A WET SUIT!! (REALLY HEAVY) THAT'S JUST CAUSE I'M WEARING SIZE 5 SHOES...IT WAS A NICE EXPERIENCE. I CAN'T FIND IZZY IN THIS PICTURE.

I'M BORED AT THE MOMENT AND I DECIDED TO DIG IN MY EXTERNAL HARD DISK AND I FOUND THE PDF FORMAT FOR WESTERN NEWS...SO I DID WHAT I DID TO PUT IT UP HERE~

The Collaboration

between Nike + Apple = Nike+. It is exaggerated? No, I say

But still, hi-technology tools can only mean headaches for me. I'm bad at the newest-funkiest gadget in town. This one, I got to know by accident; although Izzy did mention a bit about Nike+ before.

Here's how I know about this err...cool technology:

Western just opened its new $34 million recreational center where they have all the "hi-tech" and state of the art sporting facilities there. It is said that it is the largest university rec center in Canada...I have no proof for that. It was claimed by UWO.

So, being a exercise-cause-I-want-to-lose-few-inches fanatic, I decided to start my year with a some serious determination and my goal is to hit the gym twice a week. I did, for a month. haha. Apparently, you can plug in your iPod touch (or other models, mine is Touch) to the threadmill, elliptical machine etc and control your songs directly from the also touch screen threadmill/elliptical machine. Fancy stuff. and once I'm done with my workout, the machine asked me if I want to store my workout details in my iPod. I said "YES". Then it said I can retrieve my infos at nikeplus.com. So today I did. Haaa....I'm impressed by this technology! That was random...I dont even know such exercise machine exist! At the website, you can set your running goals, then ape tah you can get some sort of trophy....I dont bother myself with that.

As you can see, I have the Mini-Me Nike+ gadget added to my blog. Damn that thing is annoying! You better read what she is saying....as if I never exercise...She keeps complaining saying the last time I ran was 21 days ago....which is true...but hey, I did some light exercise but that doesn't count cause I dont freaking have the fancy machine to record my details! Argh technologies! But sometimes, I'm amused by what she has to say. That thing entertains me...Bittersweet huh!

And if you dont have these kinda fancy machines at ur gym...u can buy nike+ shoes....and buy the sensor....I can imagine $$$$ spent already for all that...

Last thing I know, I wouldn't bother. Unless, if daddy wants to buy it for me :D

p/s: finally, tomorrow I will send my camera for repair...I miss taking pictures already :(

Mod Coat to Love :)

I'm loving this trench coat! You have to agree with me! This is from modcloth.com Mod fashion has always fascinate me. and Oh Boy! I want this coat. It's just $99. Quite cheap I must say for a coat. Any coat in Canada could cost you more than $100, and they don't even suit my taste buds. rawwwrrr! This is simply THE Coat for me. I can imagine myself tugging myself in it. Sangat sesuai :) but I'm a very rational person, this coat might be suitable to wear around Western, but not everywhere. and I don't trust buying clothes from online.

Take a look at this colour block dress. Hah! This is the other thing on my wish list. Although I'm still figuring out how to wear this dress.
Note this: I hate to wear jeans/tights underneath a dress 'cause that will make me look super short, but sometimes I just don't have any other options sigh. I can already imagine how disastrous I will look if I wear jeans/tights underneath the dress and top it up with a cardi...simply TOO MUCH!
Please don't do that....

You can get this colour block dress from modcloth.com for $39. Cheap!

I've always love plaid shirt. I'm addicted to them now! In just 2 months, I bought 2 plaid shirts already! One is from Buffalo David Bitton and the other is Garage. The plaid shirt from Garage (bought it few days ago) is quite a steal! Guess how much I paid for it? Haha. Only $3.80. Crazy? Indeed!
I tried this Purple Plaid Shirt from Garage too, 'cause the salesgirl insisted me on trying it. I hate this type of plaid actually, despite it is the current-hype-type-of-plaid, but I simply don't digg it :P I tried it anyways...AHHHH! I freaking look good in it! If it's not the price tag, I'll definitely get it. Initially the length of the shirt made me think "I might look short wearing this", but No-Oh, I looked just fine. and skinny too! Wow! I was pretty psyched in the dressing room, that's for sure...Too bad, it is still expensive. hummm.

ok ok, I'm trying to keep my blog away from good old fashion review. I had quite a few reports in the past, if I recall...but lets keep it away from all these superficial thingies, shall we? haha.
(I don't consider taking bout clothes superficial, but just the sake of writing things)

DANGG~

I MADE THIS FOR MY HEADER...BUT IT IS TOO SMALL!!! I FEEL LIKE CURSING! AFTER ALL THOSE HOURS... :( HOPE U GUYS CAN STILL READ IT

vday. yes? no?

Spring break is here! hurmm...but I think the official name as registered in Western Calendar is Reading Week....so, I'm adhering to the "registered name" and stay here in London to study sigh....

In few weeks time, Western is organizing Culture Caravan. I'm all excited for that. As for my club - IISA - we have a few things planned out. Of course we are setting up a booth with tons of brochures! The highlight is performance by the Indonesian Embassy rep, and since we are such a poor club lol, we are selling some Indonesian food. You see, I'm pretty much "working" to promote the Indonesian culture. It is not wrong to do so, but it is not right either. I'm proud of MY culture, but I do not have any access to do promote it, since I don't have a club with the Malaysia name in it! But it's time to get proactive here. Me and Izzy are planning to get some rep from our embassy to come here and perform as well. Since I'm in charge in booking everything (booth, performance timeslot etc) I can pretty much slip in something too. I'm all pumped out to work on this little project. We are getting some Malaysian food to sell as well. And the best part is, I get to wear baju kurung on that day :) I'm crossing my fingers now, hoping the embassy will say YES! If not, booo hoo! I'm still setting up the booth very Malaysian-esque, still. But it wouldn't be impeccable without the performance :(
*This sounds like SmartNiaga altogether*

And so, that is my future plan. As of reading week, I probably going to go out still. Maybe go to Williams and have their delicious waffles and caramel latte! shut up to those who are opening their eyes and mouth open cause of disbelief. They are hell yea good! so screw the calorie and fat count.

so that's it.
ciao
